Vestas has signed a framework agreement to deliver 184 MW over three years with a long-term Danish customer, with the first 17 MW now firm and unconditional. The deal represents the largest single onshore customer framework agreement in Vestas’ history in Denmark and points to a positive future for the Danish wind market.
The first 17 MW of the deal will be delivered in 2013 together with a 15-year AOM 5000 service agreement.
Klaus Steen Mortensen, President of Vestas Northern Europe says, “This frame work agreement is exciting and an indication of Vestas focussing on what really matters for the customer. The framework agreement will include long-term service agreements securing further jobs in the Danish wind sector. Long-lasting relationships make a difference.”
Krister Poole Jönsson, Vice President of Sales in Vestas’ Nordic region says the deal demonstrates the strength of Vestas’ position in the Danish wind energy market.
“Signing this strategic agreement to deliver wind turbines over three years in Denmark shows the wind market in Denmark remains strong and our customers are committed to working together with Vestas.”

Wind power from Vestas’ more than 47,000 wind turbines currently reduces carbon emissions by approximately 55 million tons of CO2 every year, while at the same time building energy security and independence.
Today, Vestas has delivered wind energy in more than 70 countries, providing jobs for around 19,000 passionate people at our service and project sites, research facilities, factories and offices all over the world. With 65 per cent more megawatts installed than our closest competitor and more than 53 GW of cumulative installed capacity worldwide, Vestas is the world leader in wind energy.
