ISOFOTON announces the Signature of an Agreement with Lnacaster Group in Order to Impulse PV Business in Kazakhstan

Ángel Luis Serrano, the company’s President, signed on 25 February a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Lancaster group CEO, Mr Nurzhan Janabekov. Lancaster group is a holding covering several industrial areas with special focus on energy sector.
Through this MOU, ISOFOTÓN is allowed to develop PV and polisilicon projects in Kazakhstan in order to serve Central Asia demand, providing as well technology input in cooperation with Centesil and reaching vertical integration of the value chain.
This agreement confirms the continuity of ISOFOTÓN’s international expansion, a key aspect of its business strategy, as it is one of the first manufacturers of photovoltaic modules worldwide to launch a project of these characteristics on Kazakhstan market.

Experience and expansion throughouht Asian region

ISOFOTON currently has 1,500 MW of projects in the pipeline for the next two years. In November 2012 a new production site was inaugurated in Ohio (USA) with 50-MW capacity that is foreseen to increase to 300 MW. In addition, as well to strengthen its position in the Latin American market, where it has been present for more than 20 years, ISOFOTON has already reinforced its position in Asia, recently announcing the opening of a new office in Singapore to impulse PV business in Australia and South East Asia region, as well as developing remarkable projects in Japan.

ISOFOTON’s worldwide development plan bases its principal lines of action on ongoing innovation and on its commitment to R&D, the establishment of production sites wherever the end client is located and the internationalisation and development of strategic alliances with companies of recognised prestige such as Samsung, Posco Plan Engineering and Mercedes AMG Petronas.
