Starting Monday, solar modules will be manufactured again in Frankfurt (Oder) after interruption of production
After a short break, Conergy SolarModule resumes production in Frankfurt (Oder). On Monday, 22 July 2013, normal shift operations will start again. Management and the preliminary insolvency administrator have informed the around 320 employees of the module production today at a staff meeting at the production site in Frankfurt (Oder).
In the course of the application for opening insolvency proceedings on 5 July 2013, the production in Frankfurt (Oder) was briefly interrupted. From next Monday, employees will not only resume the normal production, but on the same day completed modules will leave the site and be delivered to customers.
“We are delighted to give this positive signal to employees and customers today. Interrupting the production was necessary to clarify certain legal relationships. In addition, ensuring a sustainable and stable production and utilization was a vital step. The demand for our high quality premium products is still high among our customers. We can and will serve this demand,” said Sven K. Starke, Managing Director of Conergy SolarModule in Frankfurt (Oder). “Ensuring and maintaining jobs at the site in Frankfurt (Oder) is extremely important for us,” said Dr. Sven-Holger Undritz, preliminary insolvency administrator of White & Case.
