NES is organised into 5 business clusters; Ventures (VEN); Strategy and Innovation (SI); Business Development (BD); Wind and Low Carbon Development (WALC); and New Energy Operations (NEO). **Job Description** As a Technician you will be part of a permanently employed dedicated service team. You will be able to or working towards leading a team and carry out all the duties associated with the fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repair of WTG generators. The role will provide you with lots of variety, learning opportunities and a good team culture. A flexible approach to travel and working away from home is essential. Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to: • To carry out WTG servicing and progress to lead service teams to deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at site to EHS, quality, time and cost requirements. • Responsible for preparation and execution of work packages / tasks. • Active safety leadership when in the turbine and in the Wind Farm - ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions. • Liaises with other Field teams, Technical/engineering functions, service coordinator/planner function and senior technicians on any work package/task progress • Maintain efficient timescales for delivery of service activities, assist in the creation of daily, weekly plans for site teams as in conjunction with Service Planner / Service Coordinator /Senior Technician • Report service schedule progress to Service Planner / Service coordinator / Senior Technician for entry into IT systems & Ensure accurate **Qualifications** HNC/HND Electrical /Mechanical Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications. **Personal Qualities** This role requires someone with experience working as a Technician, ideally within the wind industry. You will have experience of working with a large range of contractors and customers. You will have practical experience of working with MS Office applications You will be a competent individual who is able to work under pressure and Lead a team of service technicians. You will have the ability to work shifts at the project location (exact shift patterns tbc). This role requires you to have some knowledge about health and safety legislations.
