**Come Build Your Career Under OUR Roof** **Job Description:** **SUMMARY** The CARE Trainer is responsible for running both regular and high profile C.A.R.E. training events on a nationwide basis. Primary responsibility is to ensure the continued training and development of each CARE team member, to reinforce agile innovation & collaboration across the team & to ensure overall CARE training program quality. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES** Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Responsible for training new CARE hires to ensure programs are delivered correctly and company protocols are understood. New hires must competently deliver both technical and sales training seminars for all GAF steep, low slope & specialty product customers including contractors, owners, distributors, specifiers as well as the GAF sales force. + Act as a mentor and guide to all CARE training managers + Assist in large show development & execution such as NSMC, IRE, IBS, Western States etc… + Ensure regional CARE training center locations are managed correctly + Overall team safety coordinator + Continuously drive the creation of innovative training tools and course curricula including regular training programs, GAFU courses, webinars, bootcamps and training videos. **LEVEL BASED COMPETENCIES** Level Based Competencies are to be designated based on job level and content. + Adaptability + Project management + Good listening skills + Ability to build strategic working relationships + Technical knowledge & skills + Stress Tolerance + Decision Making + Communication / Presentation + Leadership **Technical knowledge/skills (entry, intermediate, advanced)** + Master of the overall CARE training course library. Can deliver any program requested. + Advanced knowledge of new products and technologies such as garden roofs, solar etc… + Ability to teach the principles and training techniques used in adult education (including group dynamics and human behavior) + Expert technical knowledge of GAF products, warranties and departments. + Ability to coordinate and run steep, low & specialty product TM boot camps. + Ability to work with CCP & marketing managers to ensure CARE resources are in line with overall company initiatives. **General knowledge/skills (entry, intermediate, advanced)** + Ability to meet TM and customer training needs. + Ability to instruct and lead all CARE training managers. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focus + Tremendous organizational skills + Ability to instruct others in both classroom and asynchronous environments + Knowledge of basic budgeting and expense tracking + Attention to detail + Efficient time management skills + Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks within time constraints + Ability to work independently and creatively **Education/Experience** + A bachelor’s degree preferred (i.e., business administration, communications, Architecture, construction project management, computer science or other related field). + 2+ years of experience in the roofing industry + GAF product technical knowledge. + Sales experience/background is a plus We believe our employees are our greatest resource.
