Role Summary:GE Wind Offshore has been awarded by Parc du Banc de Guerande a contract for the supply, preassembly installation and commissioning of 80 GE Haliade 150-6 offshore wind turbines. To support his offshore activities, GE needs to build a preassembly site where the wind turbines will be stored, preserved and preassembled in the boundary of the port of Saint Nazaire. Construction of the preassembly site (15 Ha) will consist in: Essential Responsibilities:Parc du Banc de Guérande a accordé à GE Wind Offshore un contrat de fourniture, d’installation, de pré-assemblage et de mise en service de 80 éoliennes offshore Haliade GE 150-6. Pour soutenir ses activités offshore, GE a besoin de construire un site de pré-assemblage où les éoliennes seront stockées, préservées et préassemblées à la limite du port de Saint Nazaire. La construction du site de pré-assemblage (15 ha) comprend les activités suivantes : Construction of the preassembly site (15 Ha) will consist in: + Soil investigation, + Earth work, soil reinforcement (dynamic compaction, piling). + Civil works: Concrete slabs and structures. + Electrical network: building a 1 MW 400V network to support wind turbines preservation and towers assembly. + Finishing (lighting, fencing, water/rain water network, etc.). Construction budget is of several millions’ euros. The Construction Package Manager will lead the construction of the preassembly site and related subcontracts (civil work, technical services, etc.) with his/her construction team. He/she will report to the Project Director.His/her key mission is to make sure the preassembly site is built on time within allocated subcontract price at required quality level and within GE EHS rules, in particular, it includes: + Management of the construction planning. + Reporting progress of work (engineering, supply, construction) to the Project Planner. + Commercial and contractual communication. + Manage claim and variation order. + Enforce GE EHS rules during hub construction. + Interface with port authorities and key stakeholders. + Maintain proper records of the communication and engineering documentation/drawings produced by the subcontractor. Performs construction tasks per manufacturer's installation guidelines.
