PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT


Assists and provides backup support to the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other Accounting Operations functions.


 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Initiates and provides assistance to new customers during their onboarding checkpoints.

  • Analyzes and reviews customer applications and directs the workflow to proper departments.


 


SUPPORTING JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Inputs and/or validates correct company codes, vendor numbers, payment methods, invoice numbers , and currency to be assigned to invoices entered to the Accounts Payable system.

  • Assigns due dates to invoices entered to the Accounts Payable system by checking the vendor invoice for payment terms.

  • Processes Accounts Payable invoices needed for same day payment.

  • Schedules and controls GROWMARK, subsidiary, LLC, and other corporation Accounts Payable payment runs in SAP

  • Reviews vendor past due statements, including investigating open items and coordinating with other GROWMARK departments and vendors to resolve problems.  Uses Accounts Payable reports, queries, and files to analyze problems and aid in resolution.

  • Process Accounts Receivable wire and draft payments as well as ensuring the files are received by the banks.

  • Coordinates cash receipt processing with Treasury Operations and General Accounting departments

REQUIREMENTS



  • Normally requires an associate degree or two years or more of accounting related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of accounting processing, reconciliations, controls and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven professional communication, interpersonal, persuasion, and customer service skills.

  • Basic understanding of accounting-related areas including payables, receivables, billing systems, overhead, general ledger, and fixed asset systems and software, financial statements, internal controls, and accounting standards.

  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
