**Mount Sinai West seeks an Addiction Psychiatrist or Addiction Medicine physician for its Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai West Inpatient Addiction Unit!**

The Department of Psychiatry is recruiting a full-time Addiction Psychiatrist or Addiction Medicine physician to join the Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai West in the Inpatient Addiction Unit. The Unit is located at Mount Sinai West Hospital in midtown Manhattan and is staffed by an interdisciplinary team of clinicians. The Unit provides hospital-based detoxification and rehabilitation services for the full-range of substance use disorders. This is an academic position that comes with a faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine and includes clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows in addiction psychiatry and addiction medicine. We have one of the largest addiction services in the country, with a full continuum of inpatient, crisis, residential, and ambulatory addiction services, including seven Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) locations.



The successful candidate will provide medical evaluation and treatment services, including providing all evidence-based treatments for opioid use disorders. Administrative tasks include local oversight and participation in quality initiatives, oversight of local clinical operations in collaboration with clinic managers, local regulatory compliance in collaboration with the Medical Director of the program, and clinical supervision of counselors, nurses, physician assistants and physicians. Clinic physicians, with guidance from the medical director also participate in local revenue cycle and productivity management, and cultivating positive relationships with the communities in which we work. Local stewardship and ongoing cultivation of a culture of respect and of an outstanding patient experience are central to performance in this position.



Preference is accorded to candidates with fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine or with previous clinical experience in providing medication-assisted treatment for people with substance use disorders. Our compensation plan includes consideration to your experience as well as specialty and sub-specialty board certifications.

**Position Qualifications:**

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in addiction psychiatry or addiction medicine

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in addiction psychiatry or addiction medicine if within 3 years of fellowship graduation

• Ability to obtain a full and unrestricted New York State medical license

• Ability to obtain a full and unrestricted DEA license

• Collaborative, proactive, and dedicated work ethic

• Commitment to high-quality, cost-effective health care

• Desire to learn and grow professionally within a team-oriented, performance-driven department
