Areas of research may include runoff, surface and groundwater\nflow, climate adaptation (e.g. flood mitigation, drought management) that\nsupports agriculture and food operations as well as urban agriculture ventures\nand urban development initiatives. Other areas of research emphasis can include\necological restoration and protection (e.g. wildlife habitats).\u003c/font\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp style=\u0022text-align: left\u0022\u003e\u003cfont size=\u00223\u0022\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis faculty member will provide\neducation, training, and support for state, area, and county educators, and\nrelevant stakeholders. Technology\ntransfer and dissemination will be pertinent to defining a high impact\nExtension program to address water security challenges in rural and urban\ncommunities. Scholarship through\ntraditional and progressive outreach methods, external grants/contracts, peer-reviewed publications, and other forms of scholarly effort is expected.\u003cbr\u003eThe incumbent will work closely\nwith other Extension specialists and educators, municipalities, agri-business\nprofessionals, and industry and community stakeholders. It is anticipated that\nthis position will intersect with structural hydrology, ecology, and biogeochemistry, and focus on interdisciplinary approaches to water resource systems to provide innovative solutions that meet\nwater needs in rural, forestry, and urban environments.\u003c/font\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp style=\u0022text-align: left\u0022\u003e\u003cfont size=\u00223\u0022\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis position is in the BAE\ndepartment and affiliated with the OK Water Resources Center to provide\nresearch, training and technological assistance to Oklahoma constituents and other stakeholders. Close\ncollaboration is also expected with faculty in BAE and other departments in the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and the College of Engineering, Architecture \u0026amp; Technology, partners in the Oklahoma\nMesonet, municipalities, and state and federal agencies. Demonstrated ability to attract external funding, publish peer- reviewed\nmaterials, and provide instruction to a wide variety of audiences. Candidates\nmust be proficient in English, possessing effective verbal, written, and\nmultimedia communication skills.
