Job Purpose and Impact
The Breeder Flock Supervisor will provide strategic operational oversight for designated farms with moderate presence and moderate degree of complexity. In this role, you will oversee and hold your designated areas accountable to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Execute routine operations of designated areas, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee and environmental compliance
- Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and internal requirements are within specifications
- Partner with production supervisors, with contract growers, and with Cargill-owned farms to meet customer specifications and timelines
- Routinely monitor operations across designated areas to verify proper process, procedure, and biosecurity measures for production efficiency
- Develop, supervise, and provide coaching to direct reports including coaching company core values and guiding principles
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for your direct reports
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1 year of directly related work experience
- No exposure to or ownership of any poultry, birds, sheep, or swine
- Class E Driver's License, or the ability to obtain a Class E Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the poultry industry
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
