Position Summary:

UA Land Management is hiring student positions to help modernize the office workflow. This is an excellent opportunity to “get your foot in the door” and learn the fundamentals of real property management.



Be a part of a small, dynamic team that generates > $5 million in revenue each year by managing ~150,000 acres of land to support the University of Alaska, including funding the UA Scholars program. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Must have the ability for attention to detail, possess organizational skills, and have effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Must understand handling confidential information.

  • Ability to positively collaborate with staff.

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and preferably some experience with SharePoint.

  • Ability to perform the job duties independently.


Preferred Experience & Education:

  • Preferred experience with office-based software.

  • Preferred experience with office scanner/printer equipment.

  • Preferred experience with website management.

  • Preferred experience relating to land or property management.


Required Experience & Education:

Applicant must be a University of Alaska student, enrolled and regularly attending six (6) or more credit hours, and must possess and maintain a 2.0 or better cumulative grade point average (GPA)


Salary Information:

This Student Assistant 2 position pays at a rate of $14.96 per hour.
