CEO, Residential Solar

Sacramento, CA 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic plan to scale the company to $100 million in revenue within 3-5 years, utilizing your experience and industry knowledge.

Marketing and Sales Strategy: take an active role in marketing and sales, CEOs responsibilities to ensure the company's products and services are reaching the right audience and generating revenue. Leverage the industry-leading go-to-market strategies and growth marketing techniques that drive business growth.

Strategy: identify target markets, developing pricing strategies, creating marketing campaigns, and analyzing sales data to make informed decisions about the direction of the business.

Operations Oversight: Oversee all company divisions, locations, and departments, ensuring efficient and profitable operations in solar, roofing, HVAC, windows, and solar retrofits.

Budget Management: Take responsibility for financial management, including budget development, cost control, and revenue optimization.

Business Model Design: Continuously innovate and refine the company's business models to drive growth and adapt to market changes.

Team Leadership: Lead a team of 6 direct reports and indirectly manage over 80 employees, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and innovation.

Customer Satisfaction: Prioritize customer satisfaction by improving scheduling, communication, and addressing customer concerns promptly.

Safety Focus: Champion safety as a top priority throughout the company, particularly during solar installations.

Financial Planning: Financial planning and analysis to ensure the health and growth of the company.

Software Integration: Leverage your knowledge of software tools such as Scoop and Housecall Pro to streamline operations and enhance customer experience.

Talent Management: Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing staff, and make necessary personnel decisions to maintain a high-quality workforce.

Board Relations: Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors, providing updates, insights, and collaborating on strategic decisions.

Public Face: Represent the company as the public face, building and maintaining relationships with partners, stakeholders, and industry leaders.

Company Culture: Maintain and enhance the company's culture, ensuring high morale and employee engagement articulating the company's purpose and ensuring that all employees are aligned with its goals, expectations, and values.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of scaling a company, especially in the residential solar industry.
  • Deep knowledge of solar, construction, and operations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and connect with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Innovative and creative mindset to drive growth and adapt to changing markets.
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools, particularly Scoop and Housecall Pro, is a plus.
  • Successful experience recruiting and managing top talent.
  • Ability to maintain a positive company culture while making tough personnel decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading an organization with at least $50 million in revenue.
