**The position**

By joining our team in Renewables you will have the opportunity to:



+ Manage construction contractors, engineers and 3 rd party inspectors with focus on safety, quality and schedule. Engage in strong collaboration with various disciplines, other construction engineers and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.

+ Coordinate onshore construction work activities in the New York City area. Work scopes overseen include construction of a new 70+ acre offshore wind port facility, onshore transmission cable installations and construction of new onshore electrical substations.

+ Gain hands on experience in the offshore wind industry by ensuring contractor safety compliance, environmental compliance, schedule adherence, verification of work progress, agency permit compliance, compliance with contract drawings and specifications, coordination with Owner’s Engineer, resolution of technical field issues, attendance at punch list walks, follow up on punch list items, and commissioning activities.

+ Review field installations, designs, equipment submittals, O&M manuals, start-up reports, checklists, and training programs for overall compliance with the owner’s requirements and construction/commissioning plans.

+ Manage relationships with existing and potential key clients, customers and contractors to develop business.

+ 7 - 10+ years of related experience as Civil Engineer, Electrical engineer or other relevant engineering discipline doing large complex power, civil or offshore wind industry project. Experience from construction activities in NY will be an advantage.

+ Bachelors in Engineering required, Masters in Engineering would be a considered a plus.

+ Experience working with New York City Agencies (DOB, DEP, FDNY), LEED certification, the NYS Article VII process and New York City trade Union Labor is an advantage.

+ Ability to lead and motivate multidiscipline teams towards common project goals. Ensure all relevant aspects impacting construction are considered and planned for An enthusiastic, curious and “can do” attitude.

+ Subject matter expert in construction, commissioning, and/or energy related projects. Thorough knowledge of local construction practices, systems, standards and regulatory framework, including labor relevant specifics.

+ Strong facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

+ Highly effective communicator with clear and concise writing and presentation skills

+ Salary range $156,340 to $234,563
