Description

  

Chamberlin Agriculture Crop Advisers provide consulting services and sell crop nutrition, production and agronomic products to help achieve the best outcomes for growers.  


Requirements

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell company products and consulting services to meet sales goals and gross margin targets
  • Develop, execute and monitor effectiveness of crop management plans
  • Identify product and service opportunities to enhance crop quality, pack-outs, long-term soil and tree health, and maximize profitability
  • Develop and maintain profitable customer relationships 
  • Scout fields for pests and diseases throughout the season
  • Interpret soil, water and tissue analysis
  • Research and respond to technical inquiries 
  • Keep detailed agronomic records, recommendations and customer accounts 
  • Maintain the highest levels of customer service by ensuring follow through and communication about product deliveries, custom applications, forecasting, credit, billing and account information 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • In depth knowledge of agronomic product features, benefits, applications and use
  • Customer service oriented 
  • Driven, self-motivated, team player
  • Effective communicator with management, team members and customers
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Required computer skills include knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook

Education: 

  • Degree in agronomy or agribusiness preferred

Required Certifications

  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) or Pest Control Advisor (PCA) Licenses required per State guidelines.  

Salary and Benefits: $85,000-95,000. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location skills and experience. The position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision and mental health insurance, profit-sharing plans, bonuses and other benefits.
