Job Description

Vert is seeking a Delivery Manager to support our brilliant strategists, creators, and tacticians in delivering exceptional service to our clients. A Delivery Manager at Vert is a dot-connector and facilitator who supports subject matter experts in bringing smart, strategic digital marketing plans to life flawlessly, efficiently, and painlessly.

You will achieve this by defining and prioritizing:

  • Proactive Planning: Ensuring the team understands and is well-equipped to handle individual and collective workloads with the goal of having 75% of priorities identified and trafficked at least 1 week in advance of production/execution
  • Efficient Execution: Ensuring assignment objectives  are clearly and simply defined and communicated so that work is focused on goals more so than processes, and to minimize overcomplication (self-imposed or client-suggested)
  • Accuracy & Accountability: Ensuring clear expectations are set and that deliverables meet those expectations in terms of quality, timeliness, and achieving the intended objective. In the event that work does not meet expectations ( for quality/accuracy or performance reasons), ensuring accountability and follow-through to learn and improve.

The ideal candidate for this role is an expert at balancing client and team success, providing strong strategic guidance and foundational support for how work gets done (via resource and traffic management, process governance, timeline ownership, and scope translation) so that our specialists and subject matter experts can focus on doing ridiculously smart, innovative, effective work.

Attention to detail, proactivity, and a solutions-oriented mindset will be critical to success in this role. You’re able to read between the lines, are a planner by nature, and feel the most fulfilled when you’re uplifting others behind the scenes to influence individual, agency, and client success.

This role lives on Vert’s Account Strategy team and directly supports and integrates with our Creative and Media teams and practices, with focus and effort distributed between operational/resourcing support (60%) and direct client involvement (40%).

Core responsibilities:

  • Understand objectives of client projects and the role our agency teams play in them, ensuring we work together to achieve them successfully
  • Use your experience of high-level planning and your detail-orientated approach to guide and manage client and functional teams towards effective, efficient production
  • Oversee and keep up to date all Creative & Media team duties and deliverables, ensuring delivery milestones are met and the team is proactive and fully engaged
  • Understand, champion, and translate scopes of work across various project types, ensuring we are delivering high-quality work on time and within budget
  • Ensure Creative deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to agency and clients’ quality and brand standards
  • Maintain and facilitate Creative and Media QA processes to ensure the ongoing execution and delivery of high quality, accurate work
  • Maintain and facilitate consistent file organization and collaboration systems, including folder structures, naming conventions, and delivery best practices
  • Promote ongoing cross-team collaboration by translating scopes of work, leading project kickoffs, scheduling project check-ins (on an as-needed basis), and bridging communication gaps across teams
  • Facilitate proactive, efficient, and accurate invoicing and budget reconciliation processes with input and support from agency and client stakeholders
  • Own Account Access responsibilities for digital media platforms including Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Bing, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.
  • Support in the maintenance and evolution of platforms, documents, etc. that keep Vert and its functional teams organized (Box, Podio, Drive, etc.)
  • Facilitate strong client partnerships and manage expectations through direct, clear, and courteous communication and collaboration with client stakeholders regarding timelines and deliverables
  • Manage your own responsibilities in a timely and thorough manner, including use of Vert project management and organizational systems (including but not limited to Google Drive, Podio, and Box)
  • Adopt and represent Vert’s core values in support of the agency’s mission and vision: https://vertdigital.com/values

Qualifications include:

  • A background in project management, account management, operations, and/or media strategy in an agency setting, with hands-on experience planning, executing, and/or managing digital marketing campaigns and projects
  • Experience creating, implementing, and overseeing collaborative systems and processes for work management
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Management experience (people, process, and presentation skills)
  • A strong working knowledge of digital marketing and project management
