Your Responsibilities


As a Electrical Engineer  for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, you will...


  • Own & maintain the electrical system design for all current production Crawler Dozers.

  • Lead projects to improve cost, reliability, and quality of harnesses and electrical components.

  • Assist the assembly line and customer support team by troubleshooting electrical issues.

  • Perform warranty and root cause analysis.

What Skills You Need


  • Experience with electrical systems and component design. 

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics and a multimeter. 

  • Strong problem solving skills 

  • Experience with 3D modeling tools (such as: Pro/E, Solidworks, AutoCAD) 

  • Experience working in a team environment 

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Experience with 3D Modeling tools for electrical harnesses like ProE-ProCable or MentorGraphics-Capitol Harness. 

  • Knowledge and/or experience of electrical systems and components on mobile equipment/vehicles.

  • Knowledge and/or experience with power electronics and E-drive systems.

  • Knowledge and/or experience with control systems.

  • Experience working with electrical suppliers.

  • Knowledge and/or experience with grade control, autonomy, and/or vision systems

  • Knowledge and/or experience with power electronics and E-drive systems.

  • Experience with 3D Modeling tools for electrical harnesses like ProE-ProCable or MentorGraphics-Capitol Harness. 



Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other engineering degree.
