Your role


As Electrical Package Manager for the Development portfolio in the US you will have the opportunity to shape the planning and execution of the internal electrical system of offshore wind farms. This will include the management of a wide range of areas including:



  • Health and Safety

  • Supply chain engagement

  • Scheduling

  • Budgeting

  • Risk management


You will need a hands on approach to management and be expected to work closely with a multidisciplinary team within the project and in the line organisation.


 


Your key tasks and responsibilities


As Electrical Package Manager your primary responsibilities will be:



  • Technical planning for the electrical system and associated works of offshore wind farms

  • Support of development activities related to the electrical system and associated works

  • HSE: Promote our high HSE standards and procedures for offshore wind; share local insights and ensure that global best practices and learnings are implemented locally

  • Resource planning and coordination of multidisciplinary inputs

  • Support of competitive bidding through budgeting and LCOE optimisation

  • Risk identification and management

  • Strategic procurement planning, supply chain engagement, tendering, contract negotiation

  • Knowledge management


 


Essential skill requirement:



  • At least 8 years of global relevant experience in development, project management of large infrastructure projects; US offshore wind experience is desired

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a related Engineering discipline

  • Experience of HV and EHV systems

  • Renewable energy/offshore wind farm experience,

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with suppliers

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong organisational and prioritising skills

  • Excellent IT and presentation skills

  • Strong team player, self-starting and highly motivated

  • Business proficient in English

  • A flexible approach to work and willingness to travel frequently within the US and abroad


Desirable skills:



  •  Demonstrable experience working effectively within engineering teams. Past experience working as part of an international business would be a plus.

  • Knowledge of related local codes and standards
