Summary

CHS is hiring an Experienced AP/AR Specialist to join its finance shared services accounts payable operations team. The Experienced AP/AR Specialist will provide day-to-day support for the business unit customers and vendors through the entire procure-to-pay process and, at the same time, seek process improvement efficiencies and understand corporate structures, business contacts, and stakeholders.


 This role will focus on processing vendor invoices within corporate ERP systems in conjunction with company policies and standard internal control procedures, working with vendors and appropriate internal business unit representatives to resolve any discrepancies in a timely and customer-focused manner, and entering wire transfer and ACH debit payments into the account payable system(s) promptly. The person in this role will also participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.


Responsibilities


  • Track receipt of data and source documents.

  • Prepare and sort source documents and interpret data to be entered.

  • Contact preparers of source document to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data.

  • Maintain accurate and complete client files/filing.

  • Perform data entry in the Accounts Payable/Account Receivable System from source documents, complete necessary coding, confirm accuracy of data,  and make necessary corrections.

  • Contribute to team efforts to achieve results as required.

  • Perform general clerical duties such as typing, scanning, copying, answering phones, filing, etc.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or AP/AR
  • High School diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications


  • Proficient in MS Office suite

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

  • Associate's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field
