Food Processing Equipment Product Area Leader


Andgar Food Processing Equipment, LLC has an opening for an experienced General Manager based out of our headquarters in Ferndale, WA. This position is responsible for sales, budgeting, leadership, strategic planning, driving  growth, and overseeing the manufacturing process in the Food Processing Equipment division.

We are a team of expert problem-solvers, crafting unique solutions for the food supply industry. The opportunities for food processing equipment are growing rapidly.  Our agricultural supply chain needs creative solutions to solve staffing and food safety challenges by incorporating automated systems.  The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading their team to meet these challenges, drive the sales strategy, develop relationships, identify opportunities for growth, and maintain profitability.   

Pay, Incentives, and Benefits:

  • Compensation Package Range $100,000 - $120,000

Specific duties include:

  • Work with senior management to develop strategic business plan focused on sales and business growth
  • Implement business plan in the process of managing the day-to-day operations
  • Direct responsibility for Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing
  • Drive business growth on a local, national, and global scale
  • Manage monthly costs for the FPE Division
  • Profit and Loss responsibility
  • Communicate financial and goal results, and KPI’s to the organization
  • Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce waste for long-term growth.
  • Establish, communicate, implement, and maintain lean production standards, priorities, and processes
  • Responsible for sales growth of existing products
  • Collaboratively evaluate market opportunities and direct Research and Development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement sales plan utilizing existing staff and 3rd party representatives.
  • Identify customer requirements and manage process to meet customer needs
  • Promote and monitor safety in the workplace
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and employees
  • Lead, develop, and coach team members
  • Determine hiring needs and guide talent identification and development
  • Facilitate performance reviews
  • Drive organizational culture that focuses on positive, motivating leadership, coaching, training, and team building

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Spear heading sales strategy and growth projections for small to medium sized business
  • Self-directed and goal-oriented for team building environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the Office suite of products, Excel, and Word
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to support company & individual safety efforts
  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering experience beneficial
  • Able to interact with all management, coworkers, and support staff on a positive level, including those who may be subcontracting with another employer
  • Responsive to inter-company personnel, administration
  • Strong personal and professional judgment with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Safe work mindset
  • Understand and value servant leadership


  • 5+ years’ management in a design/manufacturing environment (desired)
  • Robotics or automation background preferred
  • Proven track record of leading and growing sales
  • Ability to help customers identify opportunities and creatively develop solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Knowledge of CAD and 3D modeling tools (Solidworks)
  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
  • Drug free including cannabis
