Job Description

Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos (N3B) manages the 10-year, $1.38 billion Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract for the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Environmental Management, Los Alamos Field Office.


 


N3B is a limited liability company owned by HII Nuclear Inc. and BWX Technologies, joined by our critical subcontractors Longenecker and Associates and Tech2 Solutions.


 


N3B brings operational discipline, proven approaches and predictable results to the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract. 


 


 


 



 



 


Industrial Hygienist 3/4


 


Job Summary:


The Industrial Hygienist serves as an industrial hygiene and safety resource for clean-up operations as a result of past transuranic (TRU) waste processing activities. Specific duties may include, but are not necessarily limited to, conducting IHS assessments to evaluate contaminated sites, analyzing and recommending technical IHS solutions. The IHS Professional is responsible for the implementation of IHS policies, procedures, and process related to CH-TRU’s programs. The IHS Professional will collaborate with the CH-TRUs workforce in developing solutions to complex IHS problems that require in-depth analysis of work activities. This position reports to the N3B CH-TRU ES&H Manager.
