The hourly range for this position is $20.80 - $25.43 per hour. The core hours are 5 am - 1 pm.

**What you’ll do:**



The Inspector/Tester performs assembly inspection of transformers/regulators at various locations in the assembly plants per established procedures. They perform electrical testing on assembled single and three phase transformers/regulators per established procedures and monitor conformance to quality standards.



**In this function you will:**



+ Perform routine factory dielectric tests per established procedures, including OX (induced), QC impulse, and hipot (applied potential).

+ Perform routine factory loss tests per established procedures, including load loss (winding loss), no-load loss (core loss) and VFI Test.

+ Perform power factor, ratio, and resistance tests per established procedures.

+ Perform continuity test on unit per established procedures.

+ Inspect unit nameplate, stamp impedance value on nameplate, and secure nameplate to tested unit.

+ Perform visual inspections on interior of unit upon completion of testing.

+ Perform minor maintenance of test equipment.

+ Perform special routine tests when required.

+ Perform all responsibilities of the Inspector, including, but not limited to:

+ Apply decals and stencils to exterior of unit and perform paint millage checks

+ Assist Engineering and Manufacturing in identifying and resolving shop floor problems.

+ Complete various company forms to communicate inspection status and other information and to document inspection results per established procedures.

+ Collect various types of data per established procedures as required



**Qualifications:**



+ High school graduate or GED equivalent.

+ Minimum of one year of experience as a transformer or regulator assembler, or equivalent experience in electronics or electrical assembly, HVAC or variable frequency drive assembly.

+ Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future

+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation



**Preferred Qualifications:**



+ Education in AC/DC fundamentals, or equivalent knowledge of electrical or electronics prints or schematics.



**Skills:**



+ Ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision.

+ Ability to interpret all levels of prints and applicable engineering and quality specifications.

+ Demonstrated effective communication skills.
