Job Description
BHI Energy is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented, and well-organized individual to support operational management, commercial activity, and project management within the Renewables group. The commercial and operations manager should have hands-on experience with field execution, customer satisfaction, proposals, and project management.
Functions and responsibilities that can be expected from this position shall include but are not limited to:
- Support the BHI portfolio of projects throughout all phases of a project (tendering, planning, execution, and closeout)
- Lead commercial processes from opportunity identification through project closeout, with consideration for scope and risk management
- Participate in management of opportunities including understanding technical specifications and execution requirements including estimating job duration, personnel, procedures, and safety requirements, ultimately delivering a professional proposal
- Review, understand, and support all contracts established with clients and developing new contracts
- Manage active projects in the field, controlling safety, personnel assignments, tooling, quality, cost, and schedule
- Work closely with the customer and the internal supporting functions to deliver project closeout, including reporting, hours submittals, post-work quotes, and billing
- Establish a strong relationship with customer contacts through demonstrating trust, integrity, and honesty in dealing with each client engagement
- Own readiness to serve, understanding current and future customer needs in terms of resource volume, scope, training requirements, and urgency
- Deliver safe, trained, capable, and professional technicians to site, meeting customer requirements
- Integrate customer requirements with internal capabilities, delivering training, certifications, and equipment to deliver
- Communicate with Site Supervisors and craft frequently to understand challenges and support requirements to ensure project safety and success
- Provide strong leadership engagement with client and proactive posture regarding BHI performance
- Install and foster a safety conscious work environment where all employees understand reporting options and opportunities for safety and work-related concerns
