Job Description
Job Title:                    Lead Senior Software Specialist – SCRUM Master (Project Manager)

Job Location:            Washington D.C.

Salary:                        Competitive, Depends on Qualifications  

Clearance:                  Ability to pass a Tier 1 / NACI background investigation

Travel:                        Not Anticipated



Purpose:  The purpose of this task is to provide training infrastructure, design, development, delivery and program support to VBA’s Training Management & Performance Improvement (TMPI) division.



Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

 

  • Integrate new applications and features with existing VBA family applications or other VA systems. These efforts will primarily rely on an Agile development approach, but may require incremental, spiral or waterfall development based on specific requirements. Regardless of approach, each effort will be directed by TMPI and based on VBA priorities.

  • Provide a weekly summary report of activities that ensure compliance with VA standards.

  • Maintain staff with perquisite knowledge and experience for the technologies identified


  • Follow VA Branding, VA Web Development, VA information assurance, FISMA, and NIST polices

  • Develop mock-ups and/or prototypes and validate with TMPI and other VBA IPT members prior to development

  • Quality Control and Quality Assurance

  • Monitoring and data collection to ensure features or application meets requirements




Knowledge and Experience:

 

  • Master’s Degree in related field and 6 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 8 years related experience

  • SCRUM Master Certification
