Our Charlotte Bioenergy Facility is looking for an experienced and team-focused leader with the “hands-on” expertise of a maintenance technician. The Maintenance Manager will lead plant maintenance and capital improvement initiatives.



  • Efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pumps, blowers, conveyor systems, and production machines.

  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.

  • Maintain consistent 85% uptime from all combined CHP systems.

  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Establish and manage spare part inventories, and CMMS, with support of Global Operations Team

  • Maintain accurate and auditable work and process records.

  • Leading the maintenance team on preventive maintenance techniques.

  • Training and leading new hires and junior staff.




Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related technical field, and/or a minimum of eight years of industrial maintenance field experience

  • Nice to have - Solid Waste / Wastewater / Biogas / Power Generation/ Industrial specific competences


Technical & Leadership Skills

  • Ability to operate facility in compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and permits

  • Ability to support Plant Manager with all contractual agreements with utilities, suppliers, customers, and contractors

  • Skilled in understanding technical drawings, documents, specifications

  • Experience implementing budgets and strategic planning

  • Hands-on management style bringing relevant field experience and expertise to the team

  • Ability to motivate, engage and manage a team to achieve goals and deliver results
