Manager, Client Services

Job Description

As Manager of Client Services you possess leadership qualities that allow you to mentor, train, and lead others within the agency as well as identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, productivity, and client partner satisfaction. Through daily leadership you will help provide professional development and goal mapping for your direct reports. You provide strategic oversight to the client partners that are assigned to you and your direct reports and are accountable for the revenue growth and retention of those accounts. You promote collaboration within the agency and utilize your problem-solving skills to identify areas of risk and opportunity.

Job Expectations

  • Manage and provide strategic oversight to a desk of client partners that is primarily encompassed by upper-tier accounts, as needed

  • Responsible for management, mentorship, training, development, and team building for the assigned Client Services team members

  • Accountable for the revenue growth and retention of applicable direct reports client portfolio

  • Day-to-day account support resource for applicable team portfolio and remain an immediate client escalation point-of-contact

  • Serve as team lead and provide backup when additional Client Success department leadership is unavailable

  • Promote collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction

  • Monitor short-term and long-term optimizations and development of product performance and client opportunity

  • Collaborate with the Director of Client Services and Director of Account Strategy on team member training and department process initiatives

  • Provide strategic leadership through the creation and execution of client presentations

  • Assist with direct reports portfolio reporting for Executive leadership on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

  • Research and stay up-to-date on digital marketing trends to ensure internal programs are properly positioned with our client partners


Job Qualifications

  • A proven track record of executing client growth, retention, and satisfaction strategies to meet goals

  • A proven track record of the ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a flexible and fast-paced environment to effectively meet deadlines

  • Demonstrates initiative and accountability when decision-making

  • Identifies, owns, and executes internal initiatives to enhance productivity within the agency

  • Must demonstrate the ability to lead and train others

  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrates strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate a story with data analytics

  • Strategic and creative thinking when solving problems

  • Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Marketing, Paid Search, and Lead Generation

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications or another related field

  • 5+ years of account management with client facing experience

  • 2+ years of experience leading entry-level employees

  • Experience with project management software such as ClickUp and Salesforce is a plus

  • Digital Marketing, Advertising, or media industry experience preferred
