Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned.



  • Read work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.

  • Open containers.

  • Load and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.

  • Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated area.

  • Count, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.

  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

  • Load truck for Industrial Truck Operator.

  • Stack or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.

  • Remove samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.

  • Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist

  • machine operators.

  • Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

  • Attendance and dependability are essential job functions, you must report to work on time and complete

  • daily tasks assigned.

Education and/or Experience:                                                                                            


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or


training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


 


Language Skills :                                                                                                                  



  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Ability to write simple correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


 


Mathematical Skills :                                                                                                           



  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


 


Reasoning Ability :                                                                                                              



  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


 


Computer Skills :                                                                                                                 


To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel, Work and Visual software.


 


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :


Must poses a current forklift license and be able to drive a forklift.
