Mechanical HVAC & Plumbing Design Drafter

Andgar Mechanical, LLC has a new opening for an experienced HVAC & Plumbing Mechanical Design Drafter based out of our headquarters in Ferndale, WA. Andgar is a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor providing Commercial HVAC and Plumbing for the greater Puget Sound area with over 50 years of service.

Our focus is to be the preferred mechanical contractor in the Pacific Northwest for multi-family, restaurant, medical clinic, and light industrial projects. Pay, Incentives, and Benefits:

  • Salary Range $65,000 - $85,000/year, DOE
  • Eligible for discretionary bonus at end of fiscal year

Specific duties include:

  • Assist Estimator/Project Managers in producing detailed drafting of HVAC and plumbing drawings
  • Coordination with architectural and other disciplines
  • Update redline drawings using AutoCAD/Revit
  • Managing drawing files on network
  • Provide timely updates for drawing completion and workload
  • Manage tasks and deadlines

Employee Requirements:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or combination of technical degree and experience
  • 2+ Yrs Experience with AutoCAD MEP or AutoCAD and Revit
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience using Bluebeam
  • 2+ Yrs experience designing for construction industry, specifically in HVAC and Plumbing
  • Ability to collaborate with other team members
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings and details
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing requirements
  • This position works in our headquarters in Ferndale, WA (not remote)
