Position: Offshore Wind Farm Design Technical Advisor
Type: Full-Time

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Offshore Wind Farm Design Technical Advisor to join our team and play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of offshore wind farm projects. The candidate to possess a strong background in renewable energy, engineering, and offshore construction, with a deep understanding of wind farm design principles and technical considerations.

Responsibilities:
1. Technical Expertise:

  • Provide expert technical guidance and advice to project teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in offshore wind farm design.
  • Site surveys (specification, contracting, managing survey contracts, surveys supervision)
  • Geotechnical (analysis of geotechnical information, supporting foundations and cables design and installation, supporting layout design)
  • Geophysical (analysis of geophysical information, supporting the foundations and cables design and installation, supporting layout design)
  • Geohazards (build the ground modelling of the site, supporting layout design)
  • Metocean (analysis of the metocean data and information, supporting the foundations and cables design and installation, supporting layout design)
  • Wind resource (analysis of the wind resource data and information, develop the wind resource analysis model of the wind farm and the surrounding impacting wind farms)
  • Measurements (specification, contracting, managing contract, wind resource data analysis)
  • Energy Yield (estimate energy yield with the wind resource and project information. wake effects, availability, blockage effect, curtailments, etc.)
  • Layout (with all the project information determine the optimal project layout)
  • Cost estimation (cost estimation of the offshore wind farm / onshore wind farm)
  • Projects Optimization (identification, proposal and analysis of potential project optimizations)
  • Coordination of Technical Project inputs to the business model (DEVEX, CAPEX, OPEX, EYA)
  • O&M Planning and Readiness,
    • Develop O&M requirements for bid
    • Develop O&M requirements for project.

2. Technical Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare and review technical documents, reports, and presentations related to offshore wind farm design, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Assist in the development of technical specifications for procurement processes, including turbines, substructures, cables, and other equipment.

3. Knowledge Sharing and Training:
  • Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance the understanding of offshore wind farm design principles among internal teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and team members, fostering professional growth and development.

4. Proposal Creation:
  • Assist the sales team in creating compelling proposals that highlight the technical aspects and benefits of the proposed renewable energy solutions.
  • Participate in client presentations, addressing technical inquiries and showcasing the value of the solutions.

5. Market Awareness:
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, innovations, and developments in the renewable energy industry.
  • Provide insights to the sales team regarding market dynamics and competitive landscape.

6. Collaborative Efforts:
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to provide technical support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Participate in team meetings to align technical and sales strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related field). Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in offshore wind farm design, engineering, or related roles within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, guidelines, and regulations related to offshore wind projects.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for design, analysis, and documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders at various levels.
