Position: Regional Sales Agronomist

Territory: Southeastern United States (including Alabama, Arkansas, Carolinas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee)  

Location: May reside or be willing to relocate to any state within territory

Expected Travel: 70% (this will include overnight or consecutive day travel)

 


Our Agronomy team comprises some of the best and brightest agronomists in the business. This elite group of professionals brings an extensive level of industry knowledge, expertise, and education to AgroLiquid, all from a wide range of backgrounds. As a result, we've been able to help thousands of farmers optimize yields in economical ways. Working with farmers and using our 1,200+ acre research facility, we study all types of crops to find the best and most cost-effective nutrition program. 

 

As the Regional Sales Agronomist, you'll have the opportunity to share your knowledge, expertise, and education with a network of over 200 independent retail partners and hundreds of their highly-trained sales representatives. Your role is to support our Sales Account Managers and customers in learning about, understanding, using, and being successful with our robust product line. This process includes providing training, field research, product use recommendations, COI interaction, and technical support. As you collaborate with Reps in the field, you'll be in a prime position to create a positive and lasting impact on the daily operations of our nation's growers while elevating your skills, experience, and career. 


 

 

Key Responsibilities:



  • Effectively teach the advantages and proper usage of AgroLiquid products to customers and sales staff. This involves utilizing your knowledge of nutrient functions, soil health and microbiology to ensure you have effectively educated your audience and positioned them for growth.

  • Successfully place products for successful outcomes in variety of soils and climates that are relevant and specific to the area. 

  • Develop innovative training programs to ensure sellers have the product and agronomic knowledge and skills to grow their business. 

  • Utilize your skills, education and expertise to make product recommendations and provide sound agronomic consultation.

  • Diagnose crop injury causes and determine root cause - this includes successfully determining whether a legitimate product performance issue exist or if other field conditions are a contributing factor and require additional education or support.

  • Assist in the sales and promotion of products by conducting needed product and customer meetings with the sales dept.

  • Collaborate with the team at the North Central Research Station and company Chemist to be an effective liaison between Research, Sales Account Managers and Retail Partners.

  • Work with Sales, Marketing, and Research teams to contribute to the creation of effective product and crop usage brochures and guides, newsletter articles, and advertising materials.


 

What We're Looking For:


  • Candidates must possess a 4-year degree in Agriculture 

  • 5 or more years of experience in technical agronomy - you were writing recommendations, diagnosing crop issues, have an extensive soil health, microbiology and nutrient background

  • Possess or be willing to receive and maintain a C.C.A. license

  • Experience providing fertility recommendations for major crops in the geography (corn, soybeans, cotton, peanuts, vegetable crops, citrus)

  • Research/Trial experience increases applicant competitiveness - please note: this is not a research focused position, but this individual will collaborate with our Research Team and be involved with trial work to a certain degree.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to give presentations and create recommendations

  • Proficient computer skills (ex:  ERP, Microsoft Office programs)

  • Clean driving record

  • Ability to stand; sit; lift; squat; stoop and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Available for travel up to approximately 70% of the time
