Job Description

Basic Purpose

The sales associate will support sales process execution with new and existing customers to align with our commercial strategy. In this role, you will learn the turkey business from end to end to create a knowledge base for a future sales territory. You will start the baseline rotation program in the customer service team and work with a cross-functional team to understand the supply chain process. This position will train you on sales processes while supporting a book of accounts to maximize efficiency and effectiveness for the commercial organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • 1. Assist the customer service / sales team with key process execution and sales activation, including orders, samples, quality assurance, pricing requests, customer agreements and ad hoc support.

  • 2. Provide general knowledge to support the execution of sales processes, routine problem solving to ensure we deliver customer requirements on time and in full.

  • 3. Support the business director on routine operational activities and develop strong customer relationships at various organizational levels.

  • 4. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the departmental processes are successfully and accurately completed.

  • 5. Monitor and ensure commercial data is accurate in our systems and administration tools.

  • 6. Collaborate with senior staff to prepare strategies to protect, grow and diversify relationships with targeted customers.

  • 7. Perform other related duties and projects, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Open to traveling to sales districts as directed by the Commercial Management Team.

  • Will live in the New Oxford area during the associate training program and willing to relocate to sales territory once the associate training program is completed.

Preferred Qualifications

· Previous experience in a consumer-facing role.

· Knowledge of sales processes and methodologies.
