Overview: Reporting to the Branch Manager, engage in consultative selling of new and used (and occasionally rent) agricultural equipment and related implements by following our company culture touchpoints of solving problems, embracing team work, working hard and always doing what’s right in order to “keep our customers working”.

Responsibilities:


  • Identify and engage with prospective customers through effective territory coverage, (in-person, phone call, walk-in)

  • Develop an effective written territory coverage plan for each week, understanding that plans change, but a thoughtful plan will help you get back on track when unannounced circumstances get you off track.

  • Understand the various equipment offerings and their application to your customers’ requirements

  • Develop trust and confidence with our customers by understanding the customer’s needs, limitations and problems through thoughtful questions and listening, and offering solutions to meet their needs

  • Complete and implement the concepts as outlined in the Monroe Tractor sales training program

  • As an extension of leadership, foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the entire branch team, through effective, clear communication, positive reinforcement and  professional business acumen

  • Ability to perform effective and efficient equipment demonstrations to explain benefits, features and compare/contrast against competitive equipment

  • Actively use and update our CRM system

  • Complete paperwork, training assignments (on and off site), and uphold our company culture

 

Skills/Qualifications:


  • Highly motivated results driven sales mindset

  • Prior experience in the selling and promoting of agricultural products, farming equipment, construction equipment or other related products preferred. 

  • Ability to work independently to prioritize, analyze and act on information

  • Understanding of basic equipment financing, profit/loos concepts and deal paperwork preparation   

  • Proven account based sales management experience

  • Ability to plan and strategize in collaboration with branch management

  • High level of urgency and customer focus. Willing to be available to customers after hours/weekends as needed to support their business

  • Effective communicator both written and verbal.

  • Proficient with Outlook, word, and excel

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 base salary plus commission
