Monroe Tractor is seeking an experienced, self-motivated sales professional in the heavy equipment industry. The rental sales representative will act as the department’s main customer experience expert who will be responsible for coordinating customer rentals of construction equipment. This position reports directly to the Westborough Branch Manager, with a dotted line reporting to the Rental Manager, based in Rochester NY. This position will be responsible for promoting and generating rental opportunities within the entire state of Massachusetts and is based out of our Westborough, MA location.

Skills/Qualifications:


  • Customer Service oriented; good communication skills; closing skills, territory management; prospecting, presentation, and negotiation skills; self-confidence and motivation; product knowledge and ability to maintain client relationships.

  • Tech savvy - Experience with Microsoft Office and basic CRM usage

  • Crane/Aerial Rental, or Construction Equipment Rental experience is a must.

  • 2-5 years’ experience in equipment rental, preferably in the heavy equipment rental industry.

  • Proficient with Microsoft (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Strong verbal communication and sales skills to work with numerous customers daily.

  • Detail oriented, highly organized and ability to work closely with other departments.

  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 plus commission
