Job Description

Who We Are

Advantage Capital is a unique impact investor whose mission is to bring businesses and jobs to communities that have historically lacked access to investment capital. Since 1992, Advantage Capital has invested more than $4 billion in over 900 companies, spanning a diverse array of industry sectors and covering the entire risk spectrum. The firm has built a strong and successful track record of public-private partnerships with state and federal economic development organizations, creating over 65,000 permanent, well-paying jobs and facilitating the subsequent flow of billions of dollars of investment capital into communities that are underserved by traditional sources of capital.

The Partner Services (ACPS) business line provides advisory services for participants in economic development programs familiar to Advantage, particularly the New Markets Tax Credit program, helping those businesses and investors accomplish their programmatic goals around permanent job growth through small business finance. To date ACPS has helped our partners invest over $550 million in capital in operating businesses, community facilities, commercial centers and more, creating nearly 6,000 permanent, quality jobs in Low Income Communities through those investments to date.

Our Culture

We love what we do. We fundamentally believe that capital can change lives and we go to great lengths to give our firm the opportunity to reach the hardest hit communities in the U.S. with much needed investment. For anyone considering joining our high-performing firm, know that we value: a growth mindset (never stuck), an exciting work pace (never boring), the ability to work autonomously (no micromanaging), getting things done (talk is cheap), an all-hands-on-deck culture (a true team), a love of hard-to-solve problems (others avoid), and the character to do the right thing (always).
