Are you the type of person who doesn’t just talk about safety but lives it out every day? Do you like to not just solve problems, but teach others how to solve them as well? In this role you will develop and implement EHS programs, lead others in proactive risk mitigation strategies and serve as a technical subject matter expert on a variety of topics. We’re looking for someone who has the ability to influence key stakeholders, has strong technical EHS skills and excels in project and program management.

What You’ll Do 

1. Serve as subject matter expert on relevant EHS topics for your site and others within Vermeer. 

2. Play a key role in the implementation of the EHS Management System. 

3. Advises engineering on the design of products and processes by providing recommendations based on EHS expertise 

4. Manages EHS committee and other EHS engagement groups within the site 

5. Communicate clearly and concisely complex technical and regulatory information to both senior level leaders and shop floor employees at the site. 

 

What We’re Looking For 

- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field and five years experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist certification preferred.

- Advanced knowledge of relevant State and Federal rules and regulations . 

- Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
