School of Leadership & Human Resource Development

Short Module Instructor (Remote)

The College of Human Sciences & Education has five degree-granting schools: School of Education; School of Leadership & Human Resource Development, School of Kinesiology, School of Library & Information Science, and School of Social Work. Short Module Instructors are needed for our online (short-module) and on-campus academic programs. The Short Module Instructor will teach assigned courses in each School's course curriculum and schedule.

75% Teach assigned courses as specified in each School's course curriculum and schedule

10% Evaluate and select texts and instructional materials; prepare course materials and lesson plans; provide students an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes; teaching methodology, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, and timelines and evaluation criteria

5% Observe and evaluate student performance in meeting course objectives and learning outcomes through assignments, projects, discussions or examinations; provide feedback in a timely manner on student programs

5% Be available for student consultation by phone, email or Zoom meetings

Reports to: School Director of Leadership & Human Resource Development

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field

FERPA: As with all LSU employees, due to this position title and/or responsibilities, this position has an obligation to assist
students in the acquisition of necessary services. Should a student appear in need of or seek assistance with issues of an
emotional, behavioral, or mental health related matter they should be referred to the proper service within the Student
Health Center. In situations where the student creates an impression that they are a danger to themselves or others, the
advisor should immediately contact the Care Team, the Dean of Students or the appropriate law enforcement agency. The
employee outside of those rights contained within FERPA should create no impression of client or patient confidentiality.
