Rate:\[\[19.96\]\]- \[\[21.23\]\]Job DescriptionJOB OVERVIEW: The Take
Up 3 is an entry level role where the individual will operate a take-up
in line with the extruder. For example, some commonly ran machines that
would fall under this job t itle would be: 6 Inch PVC Take-Up (BWP),
(Heflin), (SCUPP)GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or
equivalentMust read, write, and speak English; Bilingual in Spanish is a
plusMust be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods of
timeAssist with the operation of machine you are assigned toMust be able
to follow instructionsMust be able to lift up to 45 lbs.PRIMARY JOB
TASKS:This position may require a Southwire forklift license.Perform
take up and pay off operations as required. Layer wind cable to customer
specified ship out length and reel. Properly utilize production order to
meet all customer requirements. Operate per the applicable
procedures.Change out reels of cable while maintaining line
functionUtilize tagging system to label reelsMake minor adjustments and
repairs to machinesOperate take up and assist line operator with running
the machine.Perform all other duties as assigned.CROSS TRAINING:Will be
required to cross-train onequipment within your identified workgroup at
your facilityOnce trained in more complex jobs, may be required tofill
the position in the event of absence or vacancyWill be required to
rotate on a set frequency within your workgroup to maintain skill
proficiencyQUALITY:Do not release products until all quality checks have
been passedPerform quality checks, as outlined in the process procedures
for the machine, and minor maintenance when necessary.Immediately report
quality issues to the supervisor or quality manager Use the company\'s
ISO Quality System documentation to help guide all daily quality
activities.SAFETY:Working safely is a condition of
employment.Responsible to observe Southwire safety rules and maintain
good housekeepingFollow all safety procedures and rulesProperly wear all
required PPEReview and know all Job Hazard Analyses for proper job
sequence and hazards associated with the jobs assigned to doReview and
know all Safety Data Sheets for the jobs assigned to doMaintain all work
areas to 5S standardsPerform pre-operation safety inspection and hazard
analysisFollow all company environmental rules/procedures and handle all
materials in a manner designed to minimize environmental
impact.PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:Must be able to work in hot and
cold environments normally found in a prefabricated building without
