The Boeing Company is looking for a **Test & Evaluation Test Methods & Technology (TM&T) Engineer** to join the Aero Test (AT) team in **Berkeley, MO** . The Test Methods & Technology Engineer is a highly-specialized role within the wind tunnel (WT) aerodynamic test engineering (TE) skill code. Specifically, the TM&T Engineer role works as part of an engineering team that plans and conducts wind tunnel tests for Boeing aircraft and weapons development programs. The AT capability supports wind tunnel tests for all Boeing divisions, including Boeing Commercial Aircraft, Boeing Defense Systems, and Boeing Space programs both at Boeing wind tunnels and external test facilities.
The TM&T Engineer will plan, implement, analyze and report on wind tunnel characterization activities for the Boeing Polysonic Wind Tunnel. They will perform analyses related to time dependent flow quality, tunnel vibration, sting dynamics and damping, wall interference and model sizing. The TM&T Engineer will participate in many exciting development and improvement projects related to wind tunnel testing, as well as develop innovative solutions to many other wind tunnel specific aerodynamic / engineering problems.
The TM&T Engineer will primarily support the Boeing Polysonic Wind Tunnel (PSWT) in St. Louis, MO; however, will also support remote test facilities, as required. Individual tests can last in excess of 30 days; however, this role is expected to travel less than 30% of the year. TM&T Engineers support multiple shift work schedules depending on test and facility schedules.
The TM&T Engineer must be knowledgeable in aerodynamic and propulsion concepts and applications, including test techniques and basic wind tunnel facility operation. The TM&T Engineer should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others in situations that require good engineering judgment and decisiveness.

**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Applies internal and external aerodynamics concepts
+ Scripts in various programming languages (Matlab, Python, etc.)
+ Conducts statistical analyses (uncertainty analysis, regression, etc.) and data processing
+ Uses advanced measurement techniques (e.g. Photogrammetry)
+ Works with pressure, temperature, and strain-gage instrumentation
+ Uses knowledge of compressible flow analysis / computation
+ Conducts and facilitates experiment design
+ Works with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
+ Evaluates and uses data filtering techniques
**This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.**
**This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.** An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
+ 1+ years of experience in Aerodynamics Engineering
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 3+ years of experience working in aerodynamic database development
+ Experience working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment
+ An active U.S. Secret or higher Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering
**Typical Education/Experience:**
**Associate (Level 2)**
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
**Mid-Level (Level 3)**
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range associate level: $75,650 - $102,350
Summary pay range mid-level: $90,950 - $123,050
