This position operates in a field environment and routinely requires
extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing,
pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting.
This position is physically active, with lifting required. While
performing these duties, there is regular exposure to outside weather
conditions (such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, and wind);
moving mechanical parts; and fumes or airborne particles. The noise
level is usually very loud.

**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

Direct motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic around construction zones,
work sites, and other road disruptions.

***Duties include, but not limited to:***

- Performing flagging function to direct traffic;
- Ensuring the safety of workers and pedestrians in and around the
work zone or work site;
- Ability to lift 80 lbs.;
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks;
- Ability to load & unload dispatch trucks;
- Ability to follow specific directions from management with acute
attention to detail;
- Ability to exhibit good judgment in the field including safe work
practices around live traffic;
- Ability to operate motorized hand tools and equipment required;
- Ability to accurately use rulers and calculate measurements.

- Adhering to company policy at all times;
- Having a cooperative team player attitude;
- Passing pre-employment drug screen and subsequent random drug
screens;
- Eligibility for inclusion on the company covered drivers list;
- Ability to work nights or weekends, if necessary;
- Willingness to improve industry knowledge & learn new skills.
