We are on a mission to make solar energy accessible to homeowners across the region. As part of our ambitious growth plan, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations to join our leadership team.
As the Vice President of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth from its current revenue of $20 million to $100 million within the next five years. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, managing multiple offices, and ensuring the smooth execution of residential solar projects. Your leadership will directly impact our customer satisfaction, safety standards, and overall efficiency.
Operations Leadership: Lead, develop, and inspire a team of 10 direct reports and manage over 80 indirect reports, including solar installation crews and office staff.
Solar Expertise: Bring extensive knowledge of residential solar, roofing, HVAC, windows, and solar retrofits to effectively manage and optimize solar installations.
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure exceptional customer experiences by coordinating proper scheduling, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and addressing customer concerns promptly.
Safety Focus: Make safety a top priority within the company, particularly during solar installations, by implementing and overseeing robust safety protocols.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with software systems such as Scoop and Housecall Pro to streamline operations and enhance customer communication.
Recruitment and Talent Management: Attract and retain top-quality staff by recruiting talent, providing coaching, and making tough decisions when necessary.
Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the CFO to manage and optimize the operational budget to meet growth targets.
Scaling Operations: Develop and implement strategies to scale operations, meet revenue goals, and ensure operational excellence.
Communication: Maintain clear and open lines of communication within the company, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Reporting: Regularly report operational performance, key metrics, and initiatives to the CEO and executive team.
Process Driven: Oversee and streamline consistent, replicable, and customizable processes.
· A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within the residential solar industry.
· Proven track record of managing operations in a company with revenues of at least $50 million.
· Strong understanding of solar permitting, construction, and installation processes.
· Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage large teams.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of relevant software tools, including Scoop and Housecall Pro, is a plus.
