**Job Description**
This position will support development and construction of renewable power projects through analysis of wind resource data. Responsibilities will include leadership of project energy production estimation, technology selection, layout design, contract review, and related due diligence. The position will also lead post-construction Power Performance Measurement activities and provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams.
**MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Analyze and manage wind meteorological data to develop project energy production estimates using specialized software
+ Model wind flow across project sites
+ Support project technical due diligence efforts for acquisition and development opportunities
+ Lead contract evaluation and negotiation for power curve warranties, sound warranties, wind day provisions, and equipment technical specifications
+ Develop and evaluate project layouts, using GIS to support development through relevant mapping
+ Perform in-house modeling of sound and shadow flicker to assess impacts to landowners and nearby residents
+ Lead post-construction Power Performance Measurement campaigns, coordinating with external vendors and interpreting results
+ Provide in-house technical expertise and data analysis as needed to support development, construction, and testing activities
**LOCATION** : This is a hybrid schedule position located in either Birmingham, AL or Atlanta, GA
_Education_
+ Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, physics, atmospheric science, mathematics, or equivalent discipline
_Experience_
+ A minimum of 3 years’ in wind measurement campaigns and management of wind meteorological data to develop project energy production
+ Experience in development, evaluation, and implementation of wind projects
_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities_
+ Proven analytical skills with large amounts of data
+ Strong computer skills, including Excel and the ability to learn new software solutions
+ Ability to manage multiple simultaneous assignments while keeping deadlines and priorities organized
+ Detail oriented
+ Able to work in cross-functional teams with coworkers from other disciplines
+ Project management skills
+ Ability to work independently
+ History of continuous learning and self-development
+ Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate key take-aways to a nontechnical audience
+ Passion for renewable energy and/or meteorological topics
