The primary focus of this role is to support the design, test and evaluation of cutting edge products using GaN HEMT and Si-LDMOS technology.

What you can do for Wolfspeed:
The RF Product Engineer will be the key interface between the product line and support organizations including operations, reliability, quality, assembly, test engineering, and procurement. They will also interface with several internal and outsourced manufacturing and test sites across the World.
Furthermore, the RF Product Engineer will ensure a smooth transition of new product into production in a market that requires very steep production ramps. They will develop safe launch plans and closely monitor newly released products. In addition, with the background of the applicant in statistical analysis and design, they will support new product development with design of experiments (DOEs). They will help define characterization test plans, generate characterization reports, and perform statistical data analysis to establish production test limits.
Tasks for the RF Product Engineer include:
+ Provide product development support from the project beginning thru product release
+ Work closely with cross functional teams including program management, marketing, design, applications, packaging, test and assembly, reliability, and quality
+ Provide support to the design team as the interface with the factory for assembly and test
+ Perform required tests and compile data in usable format to support design engineers
+ Statistical analysis of data for new and sustaining products
+ Create design of experiments to support product development
+ Works with marketing, reliability and quality teams to develop reliability qualification plans
+ Manage inventory for prototype builds across several factories and projects
+ Testing of power amplifiers, circuit correlation, debugging, and releasing designs to manufacturing
What you need for success:
+ BSEE or equivalent experience
+ 3+ years’ experience in product engineering
+ Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes
+ Hands-on RF lab skill and knowledge of testing and characterization.
+ Experience in working with frontend and backend manufacturing partners
+ Proficient in the use of statistical analysis software packages such as JMP and Minitab
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Expected to be a self-motivator who can multi-task across multiple projects
+ Ability to travel 5-10%
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
Highly preferred skills and certifications:
+ MSEE or equivalent experience
+ 5+ years’ experience in product engineering
+ Assessment and debug of RF circuits
+ Experienced user of RF test equipment
+ Experienced in RF Power Amplifier measurements
