HR Intern - Minneapolis, MN Westwood Professional Services, Inc. Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a HR Intern to join our Corporate Human Resources team in our Minnetonka, Minnesota office. This internship with provide a wide variety of experiences to includes recruitment and general human resources support. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist HR team, with a primary focus on our Recruiting and Staffing efforts. Learn, facilitate and improve the many phases of the hiring process including recruitment, applicant tracking, interview coordination, on boarding process and file management. Facilitate and in some cases lead our College recruiting and College interns programs across the organization. Work closely with our Brand Communication team on our social media, internal and external communication processes and work to publicize our employment brand. Work with Human Resources professionals at all levels to gain direct and relevant experience in the following areas: Recruitment, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement/Communications, Training and Development and, general business operations. Connect with and learn from cross-functional business partners. Gain a broad understanding of the organization and how the Human Resources function supports overall business objectives. Collaborate with HR and Business Subject Matter Experts to understand business trends, requirements, objectives and key operational metrics and assess recruiting and development gaps. Performing all other duties as assigned. Required Experience Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Proficiency using Microsoft Suite. Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently and clearly communicate information in writing and verbally. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven people and collaboration skills. Ability to take initiative and to self-manage projects. Desire to pursue a professional career in Human Resources. Previous experience/knowledge of HR systems and hiring/interviewing practices preferred. About Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
