ReVision Energy is looking for a Development Director to join our team in this role based out of our South Portland ME location. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: ReVision’s Commercial and Institutional (C&I) project development organization is responsible for managing the project pipeline received from our C&I sales team at the time of customer commitment, through the series of activities required to make a project “shovel-ready” for our Construction Project Management team. These activities include managing the utility interconnection process, local, state and federal permitting, real-estate due diligence, site-control analysis and project financing support. The primary responsibility of the Development Director is to provide leadership and strategic direction for ReVision’s C&I project development organization. This role will set and propose the broad goals of the development organization, create and manage the project development process to minimize development risk, optimize project development timeline, forecast quarterly and annual revenue, create and manage strategic relationships with selected development subcontractors, and provide the tools and resources required of the development team to achieve the objectives of the functional group. The Development Director will provide regular reporting to ReVision’s senior leadership team regarding the overall performance and activity of the development organization, identify macro risks to execution, and make recommendations to solve problems in real-time. This role will collaborate with the project origination, design/engineering, legal/finance and construction teams to effectively support the performance of the C&I Division of ReVision as a whole. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Provides leadership and strategic direction for ReVision’s C&I project development organization. + Proposes and sets broad goals of the development organization. + Creates and manages project development process to: + Minimize development risk + Optimize project development timeline + Forecast quarterly and annual revenue + Create and manage strategic relationships with selected development subcontractors + Provide the tools and resources required of the development team to achieve its objectives + Provides regular reporting to ReVision’s senior leadership team regarding the overall performance and activity of the development organization + Identify macro risks to execution + Makes recommendations to solve problems in real-time. + Collaborates with the project origination, design/engineering, legal/finance and construction teams to effectively support the performance of the C&I Division of ReVision as a whole. QUALIFICATIONS (required): + Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; detail oriented + Ability to multi-task, prioritizes tasks effectively and work efficiently + Advanced competence in Excel, Word, Outlook and Dynamics + Experienced in solar energy or other renewable energy project development + Ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively + Ability to work at a fast-pace, adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions + Holds high expectations of the quality of their own work product + Highly independent, ability to be self-directed + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in energy, business or related field
