Job Description

Tesla is looking for Quality Inspectors at our Gigafactory 2 location in Buffalo, NY. The Quality Inspector will primarily be responsible for supporting quality inspections, highlighting quality and process control issues, and working with process owners to resolve issues. Other responsibilities include participating in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives, as well as identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities * Inspect modules for broken, cracked, bent, misaligned or torn external surfaces and other quality issues associated with process * Identify quality issues that are happening daily/weekly/periodic basis and help identify solutions. * Investigate problems to determine the root causes and help identify solutions to prevent them in the future. * Report and maintain inspection and process controls according to specifications. * Work with process owners and quality engineers to identify quality and operational improvements. * Support Quality Assurance/Quality Control initiatives. * Improve quality in cell and module manufacturing, help run experiments as needed. Requirements * High School Diploma with minimum 6 months experience in quality manufacturing * Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. * Ability to work independently and stay on task in a fast-paced environment without direct supervision. * Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment. * Regular, reliable and predictable performance and attendance required. * Experience with quality methods/analysis, familiarity with process control/charts, defect identification and analysis. * Ability to stand for extended periods of time Apply Tesla participates in the E-Verify Program Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
