Solar Supply Planning Manager will lead and provide direction to planners/Inventory control specialists/schedulers and oversee all supply planning activities across solar salt operation that spans across food, water and road safety markets\. Leads, advises and makes decisions on all major supply chain planning activities such as: supply chain planning operations, process development, planning & execution, customer & client interaction / business partnership, technology selection / data management & reporting, and people, talent & budget management\. **Principal Accountabilities** **40% \- Operations** + Accountable for achieving the supply chain targets and the expectations set by Group Supply Chain planning leader + Ensure processes are deployed to manage Supply planning processes to maximize business results and strengthen cross functional alignment + Accountable for delivering desired customer service levels and others supply chain planning goals such as, but not limited to, reduction in OOPS and working capital + Provides input and feedback to definition of improvement projects and commitments requiring a substantial understanding of supply chain planning practices and procedures + Using supply chain knowledge and robust experience, leads the team to identify areas of improvement and cost management deficiencies in order to create effective supply chain planning techniques and tools/systems + Drive and participate in strategic plans for the supply chain function **30% \- Talent Development** + Accountable for performance management, talent development, succession planning and engagement directly and through subordinate manager/ supervisors\. + Manages and provides coaching and/or training to team, including coaching Cargill core values, personal safety, environmental stewardship, community involvement and development of specific competencies/skills\. + Provides oversight to subordinate managers and supervisors in the selection of staff and other employees; determines resource need, plans for future workforce needs, and approves selection decisions\. **20% \- Business Partnership** + Provides input and support to internal stakeholders \(e\.g\. sales, plant operations, CTL and procurement\) on the impacts of supply chain plan\. This includes all aspects regarding costs, impact on capacity, logistics, and order release + Participates in cross\-functional teams to design, evaluate, recommend and implement common work processes + Guides and partners with team to resolve any issues impacting supply chain + Provides guidance and oversight to Supply Chain team members in the analysis, evaluation, tracking and creation KPIs **10%\- System Data/ Reporting and Analysis** + Provides leadership and governance in deciding which tools/systems are appropriate to use for specific supply chain environments\. + Ensures relationships related to tools/systems are kept intact \(e\.g\. accurate capacity planning, as well as other databases within the business related to shipments and inventory management items\.\) + Evaluates and assesses more complex supply chain data, and optimization/scenario management models to help analyze forecasts for long term outlook\. + Defines and publishes KPIs \(key performance indicators\), and implements actions to improve best practices across a large team\. + May review and provide feedback on ad hoc analysis and reports created by more junior members of the team\.
