The role of the COO organisation is to increase 's value creation by driving consistent long-term safe and efficient operational performance. The COO organisation is responsible for the corporate improvement programs and works closely with the line in continuously improving Equinor's performance.
The Regional Security Adviser (RSA) Norway is placed in Global Security Support (GSS), Corporate Security (CS) and reports to Head of GSS. The RSA shall act as a security focal point for all Business Areas (BAs) on security matters within Norway, providing and coordinating security support to Equinor activities within the country. He/she will deliver and support assurance to the business that security risks are being managed to a tolerable level; represent Equinor in all relevant Norwegian government and industry security forums. As a corporate function this will be achieved through close cooperation and coordination with BA security resources. Depending on how the new Security Act in Norway plays out for Equinor, this might be a key area for the position.
Monitor, understand and communicate security threats and their implications to Equinor assets, people and information
Represent Equinor with government authorities, agencies and industry counterparts within Norway
Advise the business on appropriate courses of action related to adherence to regulations, recommendations and industry best practice
Participate in relevant BA security committee meetings
Assist the business in planning, coordinating and delivering SRAs and related products
Coordinate with BA Security Advisers and GBS to discuss and agree on appropriate measures, capability and competence to effectively and efficiently manage security risk
Provide input to and support for relevant assurance activities
Be proactive in sharing of lessons learnt, best practice, standardisation and simplification across the business
Promote compliance with the security management system throughout Equinor activities
Assist in post incident analysis and investigations
Support and deliver competence development in cooperation with BA security
Ensure a holistic approach to security is adopted aligning physical, information and personnel security
Ensure all relevant BA security staff are informed of developments within Norway
Support Corporate and BA security communication initiatives
Promote reporting of security incidents and observations throughout Equinor activities within Norway
Produce weekly activity report
Coordinates with BA Security advisers, IT security, personnel security and Safety, Security and Sustainability leaders (SSU) to discuss and agree on appropriate measures to effectively manage security risk
Liaise with Norwegian government and industry peers in Norway and engage in relevant Norwegian security networks
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience of operational security risk management
Degree level education, preferably in a security related discipline
Understanding of Oil and Gas operations and related activities
Experience in delivery of SRAs
Be able to pass Security Risk Management Expert selection (internal training will be delivered)
Experienced in security assurance activity including verification and audit.
Knowledge and understanding of security issues within the region
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Norwegian Security Clearance
Language; Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and oral
