The Process Performance - Renewable Data Analytics Intern will be working at the Alliant Energy Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Tower for Summer 2020 and receive the opportunity to:
+ Download, process, and analyze large data sets from a variety of sources
+ Analyze wind turbine or solar component data to identify anomalies
+ Prepare reports to highlight anomalies for follow up maintenance action
+ Use Python or other programming tools to automate data reports
+ Research technical documentation to compile and summarize parameter data
+ Provide engineering support to maintenance efforts at generating plants

+ We are looking for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science with an emphasis in Renewables, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Management, related majors are encouraged to apply
+ Currently holding a GPA of 2.75 or higher
+ Experience working with programming software such as Python, SQL or R
+ Familiarity with data analytics best practices and machine learning algorithms
+ Previous technical or analytical roles in business analytics, statistics, or database management
+ Proven to be a problem solver and results-oriented
+ Leadership, club, and/or organizational involvement
+ An active interest, fresh ideas and a desire to learn about the utility industry
+ Capable of working independently
+ Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment
