In this role, you will have the opportunity to support and develop power sales on an ongoing basis across our East region. Your strong relationships with utilities across the Eastern United States will provide the foundation for ongoing growth at Strata Solar Development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ This position will be responsible for all power marketing efforts across Strata Solar’s development pipeline in the Eastern United States.
+ The position will be responsible for deal structuring, customer outreach, RFP responses, Investment Committee Approvals, and other responsibilities as needed.
+ Develop and/or build upon existing relationships with utilities and munis/co-ops to identify opportunities to win solar off-take
+ Identify new market opportunities
+ Manage and cultivate customer relationships with electric utilities, municipalities, and cooperatives
+ Market existing pipeline of solar projects to utility and industrial customers, and respond to RFPs
+ Participate in and add value to PPA negotiations, and ensure the contract is finance-able and contribute strategic
+ oversight, budget controls, project development skills
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
+ Bachelor;s degree required in business, economics, engineering, finance or a similarly related field
+ 2 - 3 years’ demonstrated experience and success with Solar Origination or Development
+ Experience with PPA structures and negotiations
+ Relationships with utilities in Eastern United States is essential
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal, required
+ Ability to work independently and as a team member
+ Strong sales, networking, leadership, negotiation and time management skills
+ Must be willing to travel 40% of time
