Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of the Centre’s communication strategy
  • Implementation and maintenance of digital media for all subject areas concerned
  • Organisation and presentation of internal and external events and workshops
  • Management of interdisciplinary issues, including socio-scientific aspects
  • Management and coordination of communication projects and of information on research projects and model projects
  • Contact person for all communication issues of the Competence Centre
  • Development and cultivation of internal and external contacts, ensuring effective communication and the involvement of all relevant points of contact (internal, Ministries, House of Logistics & Mobility, as well as other relevant stakeholders in business, industry, research, environmental associations and society in general)
  • Support and organisation of committees and of the Competence Centre’s advisory structure
  • Support for the management of the Competence Centre
  • Project management (e.g. coordination and management of external service providers, progress monitoring, procurement, project billing and verification management)

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree (university/university of applied sciences) in psychology, social science or communication science (or comparable academic degree)
  • Professional experience in the field of communication and public relations in environmental and sustainability sector (science, NGOs, associations, industry), familiarity with the relevant workflows, regulations and guidelines
  • Knowledge in the field of emission control and climate protection in aviationInterest in solving questions related to the future of society, and in strategies for the effective interlinking of ecological, social and economic targets
  • Willingness to tackle new and unfamiliar topics
  • Conceptual skills, very good verbal skills and creativity
  • Basic knowledge of, and initial experience with, change management
  • Pronounced aptitude for the creation and cultivation of, and participation in, networks with business, science, society and NGOs
  • Good negotiating skills and assertiveness
  • Pronounced teamwork and communication skills, open-mindedness
  • High degree of organisational skills and strong sense of responsibility
  • Integrity, reliability, resilience, very high commitment level and flexibility
  • Business fluent English, other foreign languages would be of advantage
  • Sound EDP user knowledge (particularly MS Office)
  • Readiness to travel, intercultural competence, confident manner

 

The position is a full-time job. The workplace is in Frankfurt am Main (House of Logistics & Mobility). However, the company reserves the right, with due consideration of operational and personal concerns, to transfer the workplace to another location.

 

Depending on qualifications and experience, remuneration will be based on salary groups 10 - 12 of Appendix 1B of the TV-H (collective agreement for public sector employees in Hessen) in its currently valid version.
