ReVision Energy’s Portland location is looking for a Solar Foundation Installer to join our growing team. ABOUT THE POSITION: The Solar Foundation Installer will assist the Solar Foundation project manager with installing the highest quality solar electric system foundations. These installs will be for ReVision Energy solar installations as well as sub-contracted projects for other solar contractors throughout northern New England. The Solar Foundation Division installs foundations for projects ranging in size from small residential projects, all the way up to very large commercial solar fields. This position includes, but is not limited to, heavy equipment spotting and operation, loading and unloading material and equipment, driving piles and ground screws, site preparation and layout, and providing general support as needed. The position includes 10 months of full time work per year. Light duty work may be required in the off season (mid-January through mid-March) with equipment maintenance and additional installation work, weather permitting. The position involves significant travel throughout New England and will include extended overnights and time on the road. Role and Responsibilities (include but not limited to): + Safely support the onsite project manager in the complete installation of driven post and ground screw foundations. + Stage post and ground screw materials on site. + Assist in site layout and strategy. + Operate a Pauselli 900-S rubber tracked diesel powered installation machine. + Operate a compact track loader (skid steer) with ground screw installation mast attachment. + Operate a diesel air compressor. + Safely drive truck, trailer, and equipment to and from job sites. + Perform and track preventative and routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment. + Maintain a respectful, professional and responsive relationship with customers and co-workers at all times. + Load job-specific components and equipment to ensure all necessary tools and materials arrive safely on the job site. + Maintain knowledge of safe construction work practices and procedures including OSHA and Dig Safe requirements. + Make sure equipment is safely stored at the end of each work day. Critical Skills/Expectations: + Must have a clean and valid driver’s license. + Experience driving trucks with trailers. + Must have flexibility with hours and a willingness to spend extended time away from home. + Must have excellent customer service skills in every interaction. + Effectively coordinate and communicate with others. + Ability to succeed in a fast paced, ever-changing, team-oriented environment. + Must be able to continually lift 50 lbs, work in loud and dusty environments, on the road, in varying weather conditions. + Excellent teamwork skills– able to establish collaborative working relationships with peers and supervisors. + Excellent problem-solving skills. + Code of Conduct– act accordingly as a guest at our client’s project sites. + Highly organized and can multi-task and set priorities. + Strong desire to work for a renewable energy company, and interest in developing professionally. + Willingness and ability to obtain required heavy equipment operator licensing. Additional Qualifications (desired but not required): + 6 months previous experience in the solar industry + 6 months previous experience operating medium and heavy equipment + OSHA 10-hour safety certification + College Degree + Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) + Forklift and/or Lull certification
